Delivery to Kitty Hawk, Duck, Sanderling , Pine Island and Corolla

Duck Cycle offers a wide selection of adult cruisers and kids bikes for rent, along with baby-seat bikes for the little ones. We also rent sit-on-top kayaks and stand-up paddleboards as well as beach chairs and umbrellas.

Kitty Hawk Cycle Company is still online for all your rental needs including bike rentals, water sports equipment and beach gear, too. You can call ahead to book at 252-261-2060.

Duck Cycle and Kitty Hawk Cycle Company deliver from March through October. We are closed on Wednesdays, and in the off season.

We accept pre booked orders year round, and offer incentive booking in the winter.

We opened the original shop- Kitty Hawk Cycle Company in Kitty Hawk in the Spring of 2003. Our goal: to provide our customers with professional, friendly service and quality rental equipment. In 2011, we took a giant leap and opened our sister rental store Duck Cycle, in Downtown Duck, now located in the Sanderling area of Duck.

After 15 years at our beloved Eckner Street location, the building was sold in 2017 for redevelopment. With limited options for relocation, we decided to take Kitty Hawk Cycle online as a delivery only rental company. In keeping up with the ever changing times, our business model has evolved over the past few years, merging the two stores, resulting in our current delivery only operation.

Our goal still remains the same- to provide our customers with the best service and rental equipment at a great price. We love to help our guests have a great vacation! We look forward to seeing our friends year after - and meeting new ones too! We thank you all for your business throughout the years, and look forward to serving you in the future.

Sandy Run Park

Sandy Run Park

Sandy Run Park leads its visitors through the heart of Kitty Hawk Woods Coastal Preserve, one of the largest maritime forests remaining in North Carolina. Completed in two phases, the park now encompasses 1600 acres of marshland, waterways and maritime forest. The park features a wooden boardwalk, two gazebos, a fishing and many more amenities for the enjoyment of the area's natural beauty and wildlife. On a stroll through the park you will likely run into many of the area's indigenous creatures and plants.Just after entering the park, and next to the ample parking area you’ll find a covered picnic pavilion, a putting green, cookout grills and a basketball half court. Below the pavilion is a canoe and kayak access deck. Beyond this recreation and picnic area is a half-mile loop, mostly boardwalk, that will take you on a scenic and educational tour of a large section of the Preserve, where wildlife and plants are identified by plaques placed along the route. At the first gazebo stop is another kayak and canoe access where you’re sure to see many yellow-bellied slider turtles swimming all around and an Osprey family nesting above. Other creatures you may get a glimpse of include deer, otter, egrets, raccoons and even a nutria. Also along the boardwalk you’ll find an observation deck and a pier for fishing (license required). The fishing pond is stocked with several varieties of fish, including brim and bass..Sandy Run Park is open from sunrise to sunset. Although the cost is free, the natural serenity and beauty it offers is priceless.

Black Pelican oceanfront restaurant is one of the Outer Banks’ premier restaurants serving lunch and dinner daily. Black Pelican is where you can enjoy fresh seafood, steaks, vegetarian dishes, sandwiches and some of the barrier island’s best wood-fired pizzas complete with a beautiful ocean view from the dining rooms and outdoor deck. The restaurant is big enough to handle large parties, but the setting is intimate enough for a cozy date.
