This oceanfront, historical Southern Shores home has been thoughtfully designed to provide a unique, calming, and memorable experience! The OBX home has been upgraded with modern design and luxury amenities while keeping the vintage history of this beach classic alive. Unwind and relax with the whole family at this relaxing Southern Shores getaway!
The space
This original OBX classic, constructed in the 50's, is the ideal mixture of historic and modern design! Less than a dozen of these original Southern Shores flat-top homes constructed by Frank Stick remain. This home is on the Historic Register and has been featured in magazines, editorials, and flat-top tours for years. The new owners have given the home a major facelift and a second life (hence the name Seaquel) while keeping the vintage feel throughout. Seaquel is located on a peaceful street centrally located in Southern Shores, just mins. from Kitty Hawk to the South and Duck to the North.

The unique and bespoke open concept floor plan welcomes you through an inviting and bright sitting room ideal for coffee, with vintage double pane interior windows and the original 1950's showcase floor. The great room awaits, ready to welcome your entire family in one comfortable place. With freshly restored vintage furnishings, constructed-in bench and card table, open vistas to the pool deck, and more, this space is one-of-a-kind and ideal for huge or modest gatherings. The completely redesigned kitchen and dining area is the hub of the home, equipped with Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, an additional-sizable island with counter-height seating, and offers spectacular vistas of the outdoor space. This kitchen features a 48" Wolf gas oven and range with a double griddle, two dishwashers, a constructed-in 36" refrigerator and 30" freezer. From here, you can wave to your friends and family coming off the beach or appreciating time in the pool

Just as customized as the inside, the outdoor space provides a beachfront getaway. A private pool with a enormous splash deck, an 8-person hot tub, and an outdoor BBQ area (which includes a fish-cleaning station, constructed-in cooler, Green Egg grille, awaits you, all just steps away from the ocean

PRIVATE BEACH ACCESS!

Guests will access the home via a personal code on the front door. Guests will have access to the entire home except for the garage and front balcony that leads to the flat top roof (for safety reasons).

The pool will be open 4/14-9/28. We service the pool and hot tub weekly to maintain safety standards. The hot tub will be open and serviced year round.

There is a GreenEgg BBQ available for guests to use. Please clean the BBQ after use. A $50 fee will be added on for leaving the BBQ dirty.

PLEASE NOTE: The fireplace is not available for guest use.

About the Area

This vacation home is located in Kitty Hawk. Wright Brothers National Memorial and Glazin' Go-Nuts are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Sea Scape Golf Links and Sea Scape Links Golf Course. Children at Play Museum and Paradise Fun Park are also worth visiting.
