Welcome to the Sugar Shack in the Sound Sea Village of Duck, NC. The Sugar Shack is one of the first cottages constructed in Sound Sea. Sound Sea Village is a terrific vacation destination. We are located on the beach side with no highways or busy streets to cross. The beach is private. There is golf cart parking, bicycle racks, and community seating at the dune. We look forward to hosting your spectacular beach vacation! This property is available with a 3-nighttime minimum stay and a 14-nighttime max. stay.

The Space
The Sugar Shack went through a complete remodel in 2023. It is like a brand-new home inside and out. It offers 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and a comfortable gathering space. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has a full bed with a pull-out twin trundle. So, it is ideal for a family of 5, a girls' trip, or a couples’ hideaway. The bungalow offers a full galley kitchen complete with a stainless-steel range, microwave, dishwasher, Fridge with ice maker, and garbage disposal. It has a cozy family room with a drink cooler, a breakfast bar with 4 counter stools, and a 65” TV. Each bedroom also has a 42” TV. Each bedroom has independent access to a huge deck at the front of the home. It is also surrounded by 50-year-old live oaks providing shade and privacy you won’t get in a hotel. There is an outside shower to wash off the sand from your day at the beach.

Guest access
Guests have access to the driveway, yard, deck, and entire home except for the Owners closet located in the primary bedroom (Door will be locked). Garage space is off limits and all doors will be locked.

About the Area

This vacation home is located in Kitty Hawk. Glazin' Go-Nuts and Digger's Dungeon - Home of Grave Digger are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Nor'Banks Sailing and Corolla Raceway. Corolla Adventure Golf and Bumper Cars and Children at Play Museum are also worth visiting.
