Recently refreshed Beach House located 2.5 miles north of the heart of Duck and 1.5 miles south of The Sanderling Resort. (Bicycle/Walking trail in both directions) The side porch has an AMAZING view overlooking the Sound ideal for evening sunsets. It is also a short 4-5 min walk to the beach for elegant morning sunrises. A marvelous place for a little relaxation. My husband and I bought this home in Duck for family vacations to create many memories but wanted to share that with others. We currently live in Currituck but adore going to Duck for the weekends

Tips to get the best Kitty Hawk vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. To find the best value, try shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
- The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Kitty Hawk visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have coupons for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Finding the best rental home:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Newly renovated house in Duck has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
- At Check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of issues.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental while you are away. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
