About this Property

Recently refreshed Beach House located 2.5 miles north of the heart of Duck and 1.5 miles south of The Sanderling Resort. (Bicycle/Walking trail in both directions) The side porch has an AMAZING view overlooking the Sound ideal for evening sunsets. It is also a short 4-5 min walk to the beach for handsome morning sunrises. A phenomenal place for a little relaxation. My husband and I bought this home in Duck for family vacations to create many memories but wanted to share that with others. We currently live in Currituck but adore going to Duck for the weekends

About the Area

This vacation home is located in Kitty Hawk. The Sanderling Spa and Aqua Spa are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Outer Banks Beaches and Currituck Beach. Our top Vacation rental home tips:

Find your perfect rental:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Book your rental property in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Kitty Hawk visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain coupons for nearby tours and attractions.

Make a plan and choose the right Kitty Hawk rental home:

  • Start by having your family choose vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Newly renovated house in Duck has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. If not, email the host before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or could be applied to your agreement.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • At Check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to drive more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
