- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local Kitty Hawk area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have money saving offers on local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Finding the best vacation home in Kitty Hawk:
- First, have your group choose vacation dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 4060 Foxhole * Oceanfront * Walk to Dining has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Kitty Hawk vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property manager before reserving your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or could be applied to your invoice.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Considerations for your stay:
- We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a wonderful stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
