Beachwoods is a true destination resort in a class by itself and offers possibly the most unique vacation experience on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Currituck Sound in the middle of a 100-acre Maritime Forest, Beachwoods Resort is surrounded by lakes, woodlands, rolling dunes and wildlife and lies adjacent to a 700-acre nature preserve. It is a hidden gem among Outer Banks resorts.

THE SPACE

Beachwoods features the biggest outdoor pool in the Outer Banks, where guests can relax on lounge chairs or play a game of shuffleboard. A favorite among families, the resort also homes a sizable indoor waterpark with a hydro-jet spa, an interactive water-play structure, a current river, and a lap pool. Guests can fish or paddle boat on the on-site lake, or appreciate the lakeside lodge with its fireplace, library, card tables, game tables, and arcade.

Additionally, guests have access to a recreational park where they can play bocce ball, tennis, beach volleyball, and other games. There are also nature trails meandering through a pristine Maritime Forest making it the ideal escape for your family vacation.

Beach access only a couple of mins. away with private beach parking across for Beachwoods guests (across the street from the Beach). If you want to visit other sections of the Beach in the Kitty Hawk area, there are any number of official beach access points.

This dedicated 2BR/3BA unit on the 1st floor is very roomy at nearly 1,600sq ft. which gives your family plenty of room. An added additional that makes this a ideal unit for enormous families, or additional family and friends, is that is comes with 2 Full Kitchens, 2 Living Room areas, and 2 Dining areas, supplied in the privacy of a 1BR/2BA and a 1BR/1BA unit combined into a 2BR/3BA Lock-off.

All the 2BR/3BA Lock-off units at Beachwoods have the main living area on the 1st floor. For this specific unit there are 7 steps to the entry door.

The "A" side of this lock-off unit has 1 Bedroom and 2 Bathrooms with a completely private and cavernous Master Bedroom with King bed and private ensuite bathroom. This lockout unit has its own exterior entry door and is completely private.

There is a full Kitchen with a Stove, Oven, Fridge, Dishwasher, Microwave, Coffee Maker, etc. Basic cooking silverware, glassware, silverware, and plates are supplied. Pretty much everything you need to prepare any meal you want, big or modest. There is a sizable counter with sit at bar and stools. There is also a Dining Area with huge table and seating for up to 6 people.

There is a Queen Sleeper couch in Living room. Directly off the Living Room area you have access to a porch for outdoor relaxation or dining.

The "B" side has 1 Bedroom with a Queen bed and 1 Bathroom. This lockout unit has its own exterior entry door and is completely private. This makes it great for visiting with In-laws or other family or friends.

In the “B” side there is another galley Kitchen w/full sized Fridge, Stove, Oven, Dishwasher, Microwave, Coffee Maker, etc. Basic cooking silverware, glassware, silverware, and plates are supplied. Pretty much everything you need to prepare any meal you want, big or modest.

Living room area w/Queen sleeper couch and a Dining Area with table and seating for up to 4 people.

There is a Washer / Dryer in the entry area that is shared between the "A" and "B" units. Deck area for outdoor relaxation or dining.

Beachwoods Resort is located conveniently in the middle of everything. Painless access to close by groceries, eateries, and shopping.

GUEST ACCESS

This is a Resort property, so your unit will be private, but Conveniences (Pools, Gym, Lodge, Game room, Playground, etc) will be shared with other Guests.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

- Primary Guest checking in must be at least 21 years of age with a valid ID and credit card for security deposit. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions to this minimum age requirement for the primary Guest who will be checking in. Your security deposit will be returned to you after Check Out if you have not made any charges to your room.

- Beachwoods is professionally managed and operated by Hilton Vacation Club. The Front Desk is staffed 24/7 for Check-In, Check-Out, and is available for any questions, issues, or need for assistance. They are there to help so please don’t hesitate to contact them during your stay.

- Please note that once you Check In and get access to your unit, if you encounter any issues or concerns regarding Housekeeping, Maintenance, etc…please contact the Front Desk / Office IMMEDIATELY. The staff members on-site provide the best opportunity to get any concerns resolved in the fastest and most efficient manner.

- COMPLIMENTARY parking is included with this unit, up to 2 or 3 spots are available.

- There is no daily housekeeping supplied. However, your unit comes with its own Washer / Dryer inside the unit. If additional housekeeping is desired during your stay, it is available for an additional fee scheduled directly with the resort Front Desk.

- Linens linens, blankets, pillows are included, as are bath towels. If you need additional items or want fresh linens linens or towels during your stay, please contact the Front Desk. Although linens linens, blankets, and pillows are supplied, you may want to bring some of your own if you have a favorite pillow or blanket.

- If you plan on using the Sleeper couch during your stay, I do personally recommend (if possible) bringing sheets, blankets, pillows, maybe even a bed pad for the Sleeper couch specifically, which can be turned into a very comfortable additional bed.

- Pool towels are included for complimentary, and they can be exchanged for fresh ones on an unlimited basis. However, if you or your family owns and likes bigger beach towels, I recommend bringing them, along with any other Beach Blankets / Chairs / Umbrellas / Equipment you want at the beach. If you don’t bring your own Beach Chairs, Umbrellas, Equipment, etc you can rent them at multiple rental companies close by.

- Paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, shampoos, etc are all supplied. If you need more during your stay you can contact the Front Desk and they can provide them. We have never personally had an issue receiving the supplies we needed. There is also a huge super Wal-Mart conveniently located within just a couple mins. from the facility if you want to shop for any groceries or personal items you want during your stay.

- There is an on-site pond that is outfitted with fish. You don’t need a license to fish in the pond, but it is catch and release. If you want to do some other fishing (surf, sound, pier), and keep what you catch, I’m sure you will need a fishing license. A Super Walmart is right around the corner from the property and sells licenses and gear.

- If the onsite waterpark isn't large enough for you the new and giant H2OBX Waterpark newly constructed in Powell's Point is only 13 miles away from Beachwoods

- If you or any members of your family savor bicycle riding, I strongly recommend taking your own bicycles (if you have the means to do so). Remember to take your bicycle locks so you can lock up your bicycles at the bicycle rack each nighttime. You can also rent bicycles from one of the close by rental companies.

- Once reservations are confirmed, you will be asked for the name and address of the main guest who will check in, along with an e-mail address to receive a personal confirmation.

- This is a timeshare resort but attending a presentation or taking a tour is NEVER required.

NEIGHBORHOOD HIGHLIGHTS

A four-season timeshare resort in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, the Beachwoods Resort is located in the middle of a 100-acre maritime forest among lakes, woodlands, and wildlife. It is directly adjacent to the Kitty Hawk Wood Coastal Reserve and is an ideal vacation spot for outdoor enthusiasts.

Guests have simple access to the best of the Outer Banks, including elegant beaches, breathtaking golf courses, various water sports, and even wild horseback riding on Ocracoke Island. Other attractions are also close by, such as the Wright Brothers National Memorial/Museum, the Hatteras Light House, the Elizabethan Gardens in Manteo, and the Stores of Duck.

If you get a chance, visit Duck Town Park and Soundside Boardwalk located in the heart of Duck.

The Town Park features 11 acres of natural beauty including trails through the maritime forest and willow swamp, open green space, soundside vistas, and access to the Duck Boardwalk. The Duck Boardwalk extends nearly a mile along the Currituck Sound and can be accessed from the Town Park and other locations throughout the Town’s Village Commercial District. The boardwalk accepts residents and visitors alike to enjoy the beauty and nature of the area, visit some of the fine retail establishments, eateries, or just relax and enjoy the day.

About the Area

Sea Scape, a neighborhood in Kitty Hawk, is home to this condo. Monument to a Century of Flight and Wright Brothers National Memorial are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Kitty Hawk Pier and Sea Scape Golf Links. Children at Play Museum and Paradise Fun Park are also worth visiting.

Strategies to get the optimal rental experience:

When to visit Kitty Hawk & When to book:

• Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
• June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To get the most suitable rental home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Kitty Hawk attractions.
• Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
• Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
• Many management companies supply Kitty Hawk area travel guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to determine which bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
• Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
• Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.

• Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
• Note any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if damages are assessed.
• Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local spots.
• Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
• Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Inspect the property one final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
• Did your family have a terrific stay? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
