**** We have surveillance cameras on the property to insure property and guests safety. There are 2 outdoor cameras that face each door on the decks and a door bell camera that covers the driveway. There is an indoor camera that is portable and kept in our locked area, The indoor camera is only hooked up when the home sits empty.
Constructed in the Old Nags Head style of the 'unpainted aristocracy,' this home, known to friends and family as 'The Buckeye Beach Inn,' is filled with surprising amenities.
Featuring a pool bigger than the ones at most hotels on the Outer Banks and multiple broad decks. The ideal family hideaway. We are proud to be offering it as a vacation rental!
There is off street parking for 6+ cars. A detached garage serves as a pool room and bar, complete with flat screen tv, casual sitting, pool table, and bathroom. This means you can have tons of fun without worrying about waking anyone up!
The humongous, sprawling, multilevel deck overlooking the golf course surrounds the home and ascends to the massive swimming pool on the lower level. There is plenty of outdoor seating (four picnic tables with umbrellas), chairs and loungers. The pool is completely private and sheltered from the wind by an outer wall.
We have two outside showers, one enclosed, and one on the pool deck. In addition, there is a charcoal grille.
The main level of the home is a sizable open floor plan with kitchen, dining area, and den with two couches and huge flat screen tv. Three of the four bedrooms and two baths are also on this floor. Two bedrooms feature queen beds, one bedroom features a pyramid bunk (one twin, one double). There is also a modest office area with desk, ideal for surfing the web with our complimentary wi-fi.
Up a modest flight of stairs is a second enormous den with dining area and wet bar. Off to itself, it's the ideal place to put, or escape from, the kids. This room has two couches, a 42 inch flat screen, and dining table.
The master suite is located above this area on its own private floor, accessible via spiral staircase. This roomy room, with king bed and flat screen tv, has a private balcony with ocean and golf course vistas. It's the ideal place to sit at the end of the day with a drink, or to watch the sunrise over the ocean if you are an early bird. This room also has its own bath.
About the Area
Located in Sea Scape, a neighborhood in Kitty Hawk, this vacation home is next to a golf course and by the sea. Glazin' Go-Nuts and Wright Brothers National Memorial are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Sea Scape Golf Links and Kitty Hawk Pier. Traveling with kids? Consider Children at Play Museum, or check out an event or a game at Full Throttle Speedway. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Sticking to a spending budget:
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer time is high season in Kitty Hawk. Booking in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Kitty Hawk vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. - Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to drive future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback.
