Our gorgeous, comfortable beach home is just a block to the beach in handsome Kitty Hawk in the Outer Banks. This appealing home is a short block to the beach in impressive Kitty Hawk in the Outer Banks. The ocean is still great to swim and surf into October and sometimes November, when you will also find marvelous fishing!

Pool is shared with 10 homes on our block, with Covid safety precautions in place, and is about 15-20 steps away from the home (open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day or a few days after).

Our home at the beach is ideal for a couple or modest family -- we have two bedrooms with queen beds and a futon in the living room.

Our home is cleaned and disinfected, with numerous hours between guests and cleaners, so please don’t ask for early check in or late checkout this year for everybody’s safety. If you would like more than one day wait to be additional sure, ask me for a Monday to Saturday rental or Saturday to Friday rental, and I should be able to accommodate you. I do request that all recommended safety practices be followed.

Please make inquiry rather than booking request as some communication is needed before booking. Contact owner or manager for sales. Cleaners are all charging more due to having to use special procedures against Covid-29, and the partial weeks that may be possible in September are unfortunately not available for the summer season (unless they already got in under the radar).

Our beach takes just about 2 mins. to walk to and the area is phenomenal for Swimming, Surfing, Suntanning, Body-boarding, Fishing, Shopping and Sightseeing!

We have new cable TV, and Wi-Fi, new queen beds, brighter colors and decor.

We have two bedrooms with queen beds and one full bathroom. Summer units are for full weeks only, Saturday to Saturday, unless you see an incomplete week in my calendar. I will make an exception for a Friday checkout. Please, no smoking or family pets.

Fall Sale - Fall Week just $950 for Saturday to Saturday, $680 Monday to Friday or $750 for a week beginning Monday to Friday, if you send me a reminder in an inquiry and not a reservation request in order to receive sale price. Look for the place to click to contact or e-mail owner.

Our home accommodates 4 - 5 people comfortably; 6 is too busy.

Check In: 4 PM to next day. Because of safety precautions, our cleaner disinfects home and specifies no early check in or late check out can be allowed.

Our beach bungalow is cozy and cheery. A home so close to the ocean that you can hear the waves is so restful after a day sunbathing, swimming, surfing, shopping, or sightseeing, and we newly got really comfortable queen beds.


Get ready for peaceful nights in fall, with super swimming, surfing, sunbathing, shopping, sightseeing, sunrises (and sunsets on sound side), fishing and dining!

LINENS PROVIDED. We have bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, sheets and pillowcases, but please bring your own beach towels.

We have a new cable TV and WiFi system put in a couple of years ago.

There are many, many fabulous eateries for seafood or nearly anything your heart may want. Shopping is great too, from an Outlet Mall to Walmart, -- & Dollar Tree, and multiple grocery stores, too, plus tons and tons of specialty stores!

We have a combination lock which our cleaning person changes after cleaning, so I'll text you the combination at check in time or a half hour or so ahead of you text me when you are an hour away.

We are a little community of about 10 homes, just across the street from the beach road and on warm summer days usually a few families share the pool. You can walk to the pool in about 10 seconds, and the beach/ocean in a min. or two.

Our area is much less busy and busy than Nags Head in the summer, but you can drive there in just a few mins. for any activities you would like to participate in. Even closer than Nags Head is Kill Devil Hills, where you can visit the Wright Brothers Memorial to discover the Wright Brothers' first flights. There is also a water park just about 10 mins. away, northwest across the Wright Memorial Bridge.

We have ample parking for 2 cars or an SUV. We can't take trailers, huge trucks or boats in front of our home (on our modest driveway that I used to call the 2nd part of East Balchen) due to HOA Regulations, but you can park those on the main part of the street, as long as you don't block anyone's access or the community dumpster.

House Rules:
Absolutely No Smoking or Animals
No events (except for modest family get-togethers).
Check-in time is 4 PM to early the next day and check out time is 10:00 am sharp.
The most important rules are that smoking and pets are stringently forbidden. Aside from that, please just treat my home as you would like me to treat yours. I would appreciate if you leave it in good condition, fairly neat -- or at least toss all trash & leftover food in dumpster across the field from the home! Wearing shoes while crossing field is strongly recommended because of many cacti and sand burrs all over the beach area.

I leave coffee, paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo, soap and other amenities for guests, but can't be there myself every time to make sure it's kept up, so please use what you need and leave the rest for the next family. Thank you for being our guests, and have a marvelous time at the beach!

Checkout time is 10AM firm for safety and Check-in is 4 pm, but later is fine.

Security/Damage Deposit quickly refunded once I have made sure there is no damage.

Must rent full week Saturday to Saturday from May to August unless there is a space in my calendar that is less than one week. This usually happens when someone requests more than a week. If you see a partial week complimentary, and the system won't let you book it, please contact me on this site to let me know, and I will try to make the adjustment for you.

Our first floor home has just 3 steps to the entrance. Full kitchen with everything you need. Linens (towels/washcloths/sheets) included, but please bring beach towels. We have Wi-Fi available, dedicated parking space for 1-2 cars (trailers and boats must park on main road).

In answer to many questions, sorry, we do not have a balcony and we do have a modest grille for barbecuing. We cannot take your modest, peaceful or even hypoallergenic pet due to asthma. We do have Internet, satellite TV, and air-conditioning. We are less than a block to the beach, about a one to three min. walk, and it takes me fourteen seconds to walk to the pool, open Memorial Day weekend until shortly after Labor Day. Family Pets and smoking are NOT allowed - no exceptions!

Our home has everything you need: full kitchen, linens, towels, dishes, etc. Remember to bring your sunscreen and toothbrush -- and a beach towel and swimsuit when weather is warm!

We had brand new queen-size beds put in last spring, and a new couch this spring.

Payment must be made in full and deposited BEFORE arrival; I cannot accept payment on arrival. Weeks must be Saturday - Saturday for any discounts.

Please don't ask for partial weeks in the summer, unless you see them offered. It would be a giant problem to have your reservation overlap with somebody else's, so I am booking Saturday to Saturday weeks.

The week is marked reserved only when it is completely paid, so booking as soon as possible is better.

The pool, open Memorial weekend until shortly in after Labor Day, is just steps away, and the ocean in less than 1 short block from our home.

Our gorgeous home was freshly painted and refreshed a few years ago, with a splendid periwinkle color and brighter, more modern decor. Cool and comfortable a-c in summer months; WiFi freshly added.
Popular surfing area just a few blocks away.

Ocean view from pool, about 15 steps from home. Great beach weather through most of October and sometimes into November, which is when the fishing is especially great!

Beach access very convenient - swimming, surfing, sunbathing and great fishing only a short walk away. Pool shared by the Sea Retreat homes, open from weekend before Memorial Day until after Labor Day.

There are plenty of places for shopping and tons of great eateries close by, some within walking distance, as is the Post Office, with a myriad of other delightful activities available within a short drive or bicycle ride. Don't miss seeing the Wright Brothers monument, commemorating the first airplane flight!
