Tips to get the very best Kitty Hawk vacation home experience:
Finding your perfect vacation home:

Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are high season in the Kitty Hawk area. Booking in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Kitty Hawk area visitor guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Kitty Hawk visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
