About this Property

  • Sleeps 8
  • 3 Bedrooms
  • 2 Bathrooms
  • Cottage
  • Approximately 1450 square feet

We hope you appreciate this historic single story Outer Banks Beach Cottage. We are located between the highways, just across the street from the beach. We are the second home away from the beach - about a 1/4 cup of coffee away, maybe less.

This home features 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. A entirely supplied kitchen along with High Speed WiFi. Parking is right in front of your steps.

We have all the amenities needed to savor a marvelous beach vacation - outdoor charcoal grille, a porch to sit and enjoy the amazing ocean breeze and stay out of the sun. This unit has been upgraded and has central AC and Heat.

We have a completely supplied kitchen if you choose to stay in and prepare your own meals. For entertainment we have a 65 inch Intelligent TV for your streaming service, Netflix, Hulu etc.

Even with a thorough modernization the property is a historical home that is now over 85 years old. It has some eccentricities that reflect building standards and designs from the turn of the last century that lends to its appeal as an older beach bungalow. If modern perfection is your goal, perhaps Queen Anne's Revenge is not the unit for you. Even so, we hope that you will adore our older and beautiful home.

Quiet hours begin at 9 PM.

This is a Family/Residential unit and area. No loud music or noise.

Tips and Tricks to get the very best Kitty Hawk rental experience:

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • In the Kitty Hawk area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Book your vacation home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Kitty Hawk vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Finding the best rental:

  • Choose your vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Queen Anne's Revenge has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property management company before reserving the rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or costs applied to your agreement.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Tips for your stay:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the rental manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
