Spectacular ocean vantage points can be captured throughout both the first and second levels of the home. Whereas, the exposed hand-crafted beams and stainless-steel ductwork showcase the enchanting natural lighting carried throughout.

Getting the best Kitty Hawk vacation home experience:
When to visit Kitty Hawk & When to reserve a rental home:
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the best vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Kitty Hawk visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.
Planning, selecting, and booking the best Kitty Hawk rental:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Unique coastal home & pool house with private pool and retro finishes has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the host before booking the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your family.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.
- If there's an individual Kitty Hawk attraction you love, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More considerations for your visit:
- Store the host's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many concerns.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would at home.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the rental manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to drive future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
