About this Property

  • 1 Bathrooms
  • Cottage
  • Approximately 1350 square feet

Come appreciate your stay in our Historic "Beach Box" across the street from the beach. This 2 bedroom 1 bath bungalow is just steps away from a very exclusive and charming beach. We have central heat/air, washer/dryer, High Speed Wifi, Intelligent 65" TV and plenty of off street parking.

Our beautful little bungalow features two queen pillow top beds and two twin pillow tops. We have a full size kitchen with all that's needed to prepare a full dinner!

We hope you will appreciate the original wood plank walls and ceilings. This is the way they constructed these original cottages years ago. Even the cabinets are constructed from the same wood and by the same carpenters. A very Historic Outer Banks Beach Cottage. This beach bungalow can be described as Rustic. We are making improvements to our new addition and you may notice a few minor imperfections. We hope you will adore the awesome location as we are focused on providing a clean and comfortable respite for you and your family.

Even with a thorough modernization the property is a historical home that is now over 75 years old. It has some eccentricities that reflect building standards and designs from the turn of the last century that lends to its appeal as an older beach bungalow. But even so, we hope that you will appreciate our older and striking home.

Strategies for getting the best Kitty Hawk rental experience:

Find your best deal:

  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Kitty Hawk vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Kitty Hawk vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Kitty Hawk visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Make a plan and pick the right Kitty Hawk rental home:

  • Start by choosing your vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Calico Jack's Galley has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before booking the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your trip.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • At Check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
